Get Your NIH Logo Bear

Regal and AMC Movie Tickets

With movies like X-Men: Days of Future Past, Maleficent, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Fast & Furious 7, Hercules, Guardians of the Galaxy, 50 Shades of Grey, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Expendables 3 and more coming out this summer your entertainment budget could take a major hit but it doesn’t have to.  The R&W allows you to see the newest releases at the local cinema without you having to pay the high prices.  The R&W sells discounted tickets to AMC and Regal Theatres for $8.50 which carry no restrictions, though additional fees may apply for IMAX or 3-D movies.

Washington Capitals 2014-15 Tickets

Caps fans, after an off-season that saw an extreme makeover NHL front office edition, we are only two months away from the start of the 2014-15 NHL season.  The R&W will have SEVEN tickets to every home game, choose from 4 seats (sold as pairs of 2) in Section 409, Row A, and 3 seats in Section 409, Row F.  This year the Caps will also host the Winter Classic, outdoors, on New Year’s Day.  Tickets for all home games, excluding the Winter Classic, will be sold on the R&W website at www.fedesp.org.  Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, September 17th.  Prices will be provided in the September R&W Newsletter.  Winter Classic tickets will be auctioned in December.

Celebrating 60 Years of Orioles Magic

Experience an Orioles game nearly as close as the players do with tickets through R&W which are only 2 rows from the field.  The R&W has tickets for you to see the Orioles host Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels, division rivals Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays, and many more.  Purchase Orioles tickets at http://www.fedesp.org/mg/tickets/baseball.html. Tickets are located in Section 14, Row 2 and are $70 per pair for most games and $100 for remaining Boston and NY Yankees games. Washington Nationals Club Seats

The R&W has two club seats located in Section 219, Row D to see the Nationals host the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Arizona Diamondbacks. The Nationals are looking to make a second half surge to the post-season and you can catch every moment of the action from the R&W’s picturesque Club Level seats, which are perfect to avoid the hot sun and avoid getting wet during a rain delay.  Purchase tickets, for $100 per pair, online at http://www.fedesp.org/mg/tickets/baseball.html.  You must be an R&W member, $9 fee, to purchase tickets, join online at http://www.fedesp.org/nih/rw-services/membership/.

Are You Ready For Some Football? Washington Redskins Ticket Auction

After a season filled with drama Washington is looking towards a season of new beginnings.  A new coach in Jay Gruden, a new offensive weapon in DeSean Jackson, and an expected bounce back season for QB Robert Griffin III, have fans eyeing the top of the NFC East once again.  The R&W will be holding an email auction, August 4th – 6th, for each home game in the 2014 season which you can participate in by emailing David at nihrw@ors.od.nih.gov.  Tickets available include all 8 regular season games and both pre-season games, located in Section 430, Row 16, and Green Lot Parking.  Opening bid info will be emailed to participants at the start of the auction.

Marvel Universe Live An Epic Battle at Verizon Center

Marvel Universe LIVE! will captivate audiences with an authentic and original story bringing together more than 25 Marvel characters on one epic quest.  A battle over the Cosmic Cube, the source of ultimate power and one of the most feared and coveted treasures in the Marvel Universe, leads to it being shattered into pieces by Thor to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.  With the pieces scattered across the globe, Thor’s villainous brother Loki devises a scheme to clone its powers, inciting a threat that could decimate Earth and obliterate the Universe.  To defeat Loki, Marvel’s biggest super heroes come together, including The Avengers – Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor along with Spider-Man and Wolverine, travel the globe to retrieve the Cosmic Cube fragments and unite them.  As they track the Cube, they encounter some of their biggest adversaries including Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Electro and more, in the quest for the same fragments.  These foes have no problem teaming up if it gets them closer to their goal of world domination.  The R&W has 100/200 level tickets for Saturday, September 6th at 3pm for $60.  Tickets are limited, order today at any R&W store or call the Activities Desk at 301-496-4600.

Kings Dominion Turns Back the Clock For the Park’s 40 Year Celebration

This year Kings Dominion celebrates 40 years by going old school!  This year you can expect the return of the park’s classic blue ice cream; a reintroduction of the park’s original classic midway, Candy Apple Grove; Safari Village; the popular singing mushrooms as well as many other renovated rides, shops and eateries.  Join in the celebration when you buy tickets from R&W thru October.  Adult (3 & up – at least 48” tall) – $46.00 (gate price $64.00)

It’s Time to Let the Good Times Roll at Six Flags America

New to Six Flags America is a Mardi Gras section of the park with two new rides; Ragin’ Cajun, a spinning, fast-track roller coaster and French Quarter Flyers, a family-friendly flying ride.  The Mardi Gras area is a celebration of culture and entertainment themed after the energy and liveliness of New Orleans with jazz, blues and zydeco music pouring through the streets.  Don’t forget that throughout the summer Six Flags also offers concerts that are free with admission.  Take advantage of R&W special online days (August 9th – 17th and October 11th, 12th and 17th – 19th) when you use code FEDERALNIH at www.sixflags.com/america. Hershey Park

Hershey Park has been the most popular park the R&W has offered tickets to over the past few years.  From fun rides like Sooperdooperlooper to family friendly environment such as seeing chocolate made at Chocolate World, viewing over 200 animals in ZooAmerica, and relaxing your cares away at The Boardwalk.  New this year, are the kid’s ride Cocoa Cruiser, Tea Cups, and a Sweet Swing.  Contact David at browned2@mail.nih.gov for information on purchasing tickets.  Adults tickets $51.95 ( gate price $59.95), Child tickets $36.95 (gate price $37.95)
